Dosage and Administration of PEGASYS

For adult patients with Chronic Hepatitis C (CHC), the recommended dosage of PEGASYS is 180 mcg per week, and the treatment duration varies based on genotype and co-medications. For Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB) in adults, the dosage remains 180 mcg per week for 48 weeks. Pediatric patients with CHC should receive 180 mcg per 1.73 m² body surface area weekly, combined with ribavirin. Pediatric patients with CHB should also receive 180 mcg weekly for 48 weeks. Dose modifications are recommended for adverse reactions, renal impairment, or significant laboratory abnormalities.
