How should I use Firdapse(Amifampridine)?

FIRDAPSE® dosing requires individualized titration starting from a recommended initial amount, with specific considerations for certain patient groups and a clearly defined maximum daily intake.

Dosage Regimen and Administration Guidelines

The standard initial dosage of FIRDAPSE® for adults is 15 mg to 30 mg daily, administered orally in three to four divided doses. This dosage can be incrementally increased by 5 mg daily every 3 to 4 days, contingent upon patient response and tolerability, up to a maximum daily dose of 80 mg. No single dose should exceed 20 mg. For patients with renal impairment (creatinine clearance 15 to 90 mL/min), any degree of hepatic impairment, or known N-acetyltransferase 2 (NAT2) poor metabolizers, a reduced starting dosage of 15 mg daily, taken in three divided doses, is recommended. FIRDAPSE® can be administered without regard to food. If a dose is missed, patients should not take a double or extra dose.
