Who can use Rezdiffra(Resmetirom)?

Rezdiffra is a prescription drug used for the treatment of adults with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) accompanied by moderate to advanced liver scarring (fibrosis), but it is not applicable to liver cirrhosis.

Who can use Rezdiffra(Resmetirom)?

Rezdiffra is a highly selective thyroid hormone receptor β (THR-β) agonist, which mainly acts in the liver. By activating THR-β receptors, it reduces hepatic lipid deposition and improves steatosis and fibrosis. With strong targeting property, it has minimal impact on THR-α receptors in the heart and bones, thus reducing the risk of systemic side effects.
