Before starting VELSIPITY, patients require assessments including a recent complete blood count, electrocardiogram, liver function tests, and an ophthalmic evaluation. It is contraindicated in patients with certain recent cardiovascular events or specific heart conditions. Vigilant monitoring for infections, liver injury, macular edema, and cutaneous malignancies is necessary during therapy. Live attenuated vaccines should be avoided during and for 5 weeks after treatment.
