Therapeutic Effects

In clinical trials, PROMACTA significantly increased platelet counts in immune thrombocytopenia patients, with response rates up to 70% in adults. For chronic hepatitis C, it enabled sustained virologic response in more patients compared to placebo. In severe aplastic anemia, combination therapy led to complete or partial hematologic responses in a majority of patients. Efficacy was maintained over time, with some pediatric and adult patients achieving transfusion independence.
