The recommended dosage of KINERET varies based on the condition being treated, with specific adjustments for renal impairment.
For rheumatoid arthritis (RA), KINERET is administered at a dose of 100 mg/day by subcutaneous injection. For patients with severe renal insufficiency or end-stage renal disease (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min), a reduced dosage of 100 mg every other day is recommended. For NOMID and DIRA, the initial dose is 1-2 mg/kg/day, adjustable up to 8 mg/kg/day, depending on patient response. In cases of renal impairment, a similar adjustment to every other day dosing is advised. Dosage must be individualized, considering the patient’s renal function and condition.
