Administration Protocol

The recommended regimen consists of two 0.9 mg intramuscular injections administered 24 hours apart. The lyophilized powder must be reconstituted with 1.2 mL of Sterile Water for Injection, USP, to yield a 0.9 mg/mL solution. The reconstituted solution must be clear and colorless and should be administered within 3 hours at room temperature or within 24 hours if refrigerated. Radioiodine for diagnostic scanning or ablation is administered 24 hours after the second injection.
