Treatment of individuals with known or suspected internal contamination with plutonium, americium, or curium to increase the rates of elimination.
Adults & Adolescents (≥12 years): A single initial intravenous dose of 1.0 gram (one 5 mL ampoule).
Children (<12 years): A single initial intravenous dose of 14 mg/kg, not to exceed 1.0 gram.
Timing: Chelation is most effective when administered within the first 24 hours post-contamination.
