Hypersensitivity reactions and platelet count changes are key precautions when using TRYNGOLZA.
Before starting treatment with TRYNGOLZA, patients should be informed about the risk of hypersensitivity reactions, which may include symptoms such as bronchospasm, erythema, facial swelling, urticaria, chills, and myalgias. Patients must be instructed to immediately seek medical attention and discontinue the medication if these symptoms occur. Additionally, TRYNGOLZA can cause a decrease in platelet count, which may require monitoring. If significant thrombocytopenia occurs, further evaluation and possible dose adjustment may be necessary. Patients should also be advised to maintain a low-fat diet (≤ 20g fat/day) while using this medication.
