Contraindicated in those with thrombotic disorders, uncontrolled hypertension, or hormone-sensitive cancers. Monitor bone density as it may cause irreversible loss, limiting use to 24 months. Watch for mood disorders like depression and suicidal ideation. 

Avoid P-gp inhibitors; if needed, separate by 6 hours. Report liver injury signs promptly. Use non-hormonal contraception to prevent pregnancy.
