The dosage and administration of inclisiran sodium injection are based on a fixed dosing schedule and strict subcutaneous injection operation specifications.
Recommended Dose
For adult and pediatric patients aged 12 years and older, the recommended dose of inclisiran is 284 mg, administered as a single subcutaneous injection. After the initial dose, administer again at 3 months, and thereafter once every 6 months.
Missed Dose Management
If the scheduled dosing time point is delayed by less than 3 months, administer inclisiran as soon as possible and continue subsequent dosing according to the patient's original dosing schedule.
If the scheduled dosing time point is delayed by more than 3 months, restart a new dosing regimen: administer the initial dose once, then again at 3 months, and thereafter once every 6 months.
Clinical Monitoring and Onset of Effect
LDL-C levels should be assessed according to clinical indications. The LDL-C lowering effect of inclisiran can be measured as early as 30 days after the initial dose, and testing can be performed at any time point thereafter, regardless of the interval since the last dose.
Important Administration Instructions
Inclisiran must be administered by a healthcare professional.
The injection is administered subcutaneously, and optional sites include the abdomen, upper arm, or thigh.
Do not inject into areas with active skin disease or injury, such as sunburn, rash, inflammation, or skin infection.
