Adverse Reactions

The most common adverse reactions are injection site reactions (e.g., redness, discoloration, pain, itching), occurring in over 60% of patients. Other frequent reactions include lipodystrophy (tissue thickening or atrophy at injection sites), ectopic calcifications in eyes and kidneys, and hypersensitivity reactions. Severe hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylaxis, have been reported and require immediate medical attention.
