Adverse Reactions

The most frequently reported adverse reactions in clinical trials were diarrhea, nausea, and headache, occurring in at least 5% of patients. Serious side effects may include immune reconstitution syndrome, new or worsening renal impairment, lactic acidosis with hepatomegaly, and exacerbation of hepatitis B upon discontinuation. Laboratory abnormalities such as increased amylase or creatine kinase were also observed. Most events were mild, but patients should be monitored for symptoms like unexplained muscle pain or changes in urine output, and treatment discontinuation may be necessary in severe cases.
