Dosage Guidelines

For adults and pediatric patients weighing at least 25 kg, the recommended dose is one tablet containing 50 mg bictegravir, 200 mg emtricitabine, and 25 mg tenofovir alafenamide taken once daily with or without food. For children weighing 14 kg to less than 25 kg, a lower-strength tablet with 30 mg bictegravir, 120 mg emtricitabine, and 15 mg tenofovir alafenamide is used once daily. Tablets can be split for children unable to swallow them whole, provided all parts are ingested within 10 minutes. In patients with severe renal impairment not on dialysis, BIKTARVY is not recommended, but it can be used in those on chronic hemodialysis with dosage after dialysis sessions.
