Patients should be advised about the potential for falling asleep during daily activities, which poses risks for driving. Other warnings include the exacerbation of dyskinesia, the occurrence of hallucinations/psychosis, and the development of impulse control disorders. Dose reduction of levodopa or other dopaminergic therapies may be necessary to manage some of these effects.
