Clinical Effectiveness

Clinical studies demonstrate ZYVOX's efficacy against Gram-positive pathogens. In adult nosocomial pneumonia, clinical cure rates were 57% (linezolid) vs. 60% (vancomycin). For complicated skin infections, cure rates were 90% (linezolid) vs. 85% (comparator). In pediatric patients with Gram-positive infections, clinical cure rates were 91% for both linezolid and vancomycin groups. For vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium infections, a higher dose (600 mg) showed a numerically higher cure rate (67%) compared to a lower dose (52%).
